ADULT AND YOUTH COMMUNITY THEATER

Fairmont Area Community Theater (FACT) has been bringing community theater to the Fairmont Opera House stage for over 65 years. We welcome actors from all over southern MN and northern Iowa to perform every summer and at various times throughout the season. FACT is committed to providing opportunity for professional-quality theater craft at the local level.

“We are very excited to be performing ALL SHOOK UP this summer with the Fairmont Opera House! This show is an exciting mashup of Elvis and Shakespeare – the story is straight out of Twelfth Night, and the soundtrack is compliments of the King of Rock and Roll. The cast size for this show includes 9 named characters, dozens of featured characters, and so many song and dance ensembles you’ll be dancing your heart out all summer. Please take time to read up on each of the areas of production that you might have an interest in, and we are hoping to see YOU at auditions in May.
Please note: if your schedule is already booked for auditions, we DO accept video auditions for the show. If that is something you would like to do, please contact me at sgudahl@fairmont.k12.mn.us and I will send you materials. Hopefully, your questions will be answered in one of the links below, but if not, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Opera House. Most importantly, pull up your calendars and block off July 23-August 3rd. We will see you at the show!”

~Sara Gudahl

We will hold open auditions for all roles on the following two dates.
You only need to attend ONE of the three times. Auditions will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Fairmont High School
  • Thursday, May 22nd – 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Friday, May 23rd – 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Saturday, May 24th – 9:00-Noon
Any actors needed for another look will be invited to audition a second time.

Please note: we ONLY call back if we are mulling over combinations/options. Often, we know the first time through where a cast member fits into the puzzle. If you do not get an email for a callback, you are STILL in the show. A callback is not an indication of role, or of the quality of assigned role.

Callbacks (if needed) will be held right away on

Sunday, May 26th from 4:00 – 6:00pm.
